Critsend helps you track users' behavior. We offer two metrics. First "Open Tracking", which tells you how many times your message has been opened, based on a small 1 pixel image we add to your message. Second, you can also use Critsend to monitor Click-Through rates—that is how many people clicked on links in your message.

Go to Account -> Mail Settings to enable or disable those features.

Open Tracking:
Open Tracking gives you an estimate of how many people have opened your message. It is based on a small 1 pixel image we add to your message.

It is important to know that adding this image will never impact your deliverability and that some email providers disable image display by default: Gmail for instance. If image display is disabled, we cannot tell you if a user has opened your email. This is for now the only technical option for us to get this information. It's the one implemented by all email delivery services.

To know how your emails are performing, it is therefore better not to compare between Internet Service Providers but to compare the results of a single provider over time.

Click-Through Tracking:
If you select this feature, we will start adding our tracking code automatically to all the links we detect in your messages. This will give you an exact picture of how many people have clicked on links for any given tag. You can get an overview of the results using our analytics or reporting tools. You will also find the name of the person who clicked along with the link itself in the logs or via an API call.
